then and now

i have a lot more to post from marianne's two-week birthday celebration extravaganza but i'm still sorting through all of the photos. as i was working on it tonight i did come across a couple of photos from the early days that i just fell in love with all over again.

i can't even believe that now she's this little spit-fire.

i just laugh so hard at this photo. i think she's putting cheerios in her mouth but it looks like she's about to take off in a sprint, for fear i'll take away her handful of cheerios.

she's a little monkey. a VERY happy monkey.

my birthday agenda:
sleep in.
wake up to both momma and daddy wishing me happy birthday.
enjoy a nice milky breakfast.
stay in my pajamas.
play with my birthday balloon (as seen here).





get gussied up for school - hopefully the boys will notice.
appropriately choose the number "1" sponge from my bowl of bath toys to chew on.
play in my room.

















go to school late (oops, momma couldn't stop taking photos and playing).

fine motor skills

marianne has started helping us put her toys away at bedtime when we ask her to and show her what we want her to do. here, i had dumped blocks out for her to play with and she put them away. i guess she was ready for bedtime:
