yesterday we met up with Marianne's friend, max, and his mom and brother at a local school fundraiser. The smartest fundraiser idea I've ever heard of: it was called "touch a truck". Where kids could literally touch, climb, explore, and investigate all kinds of trucks. They had fire trucks, ambulance, front loaders, grader, crane, dump truck, limo, army truck, police car, and an enormous rescue helicopter. Henry, in the carrier of course, slept but Marianne had a blast. She got to drive a fire truck, empty a dump truck load, get scooped up by a front loader, and pilot the copter. I think her favorite part was buckling herself in to every seat in the heli.

That had to be a memorable experience for the kids! Looks like fun!
